西班牙北部小镇潘普洛纳因为一年一度的奔牛节而闻名世界。1923年,美国著名作家海明威首次来到潘普洛纳观看奔牛并写成了著名小说《太阳照样升起》,他在作品中详细描述了奔牛节,奔牛节因而声名远播。1954年海明威获得诺贝尔文学奖后,西班牙奔牛节更是名声大噪。当地居民为了感谢海明威为奔牛节做出的贡献,特地在斗牛场的大门口,为他竖起了一座雕像。而今年西班牙纳瓦拉自治大区政府文化旅游处组织的第一届海明威模仿大赛正在向全世界海明威模仿者发出邀请参加此次大赛,拉开2009年潘普洛纳奔牛节的狂热序幕。具体报名流程请看英文版的大赛报名表。报名表请寄到hemingwaycontest@artsaia.com,报名截止日期为2009年6月15日中午之前(西班牙时间)。大赛组委会将在全球报名者当中选出10名候选人参加潘普洛纳当地举办的预选赛。10名候选人最迟在7月2日中午前到达潘普洛纳,7月3日举办新闻发布会并进行复赛选出三甲。7月4日上午前十名模仿者共同重走海明威之路包括奔牛节的街道、斗牛场、海明威曾经住过的套房等等,中午举办与大赛组织单位以及媒体的见面会及宴会并宣布三甲名单。7月5日下午进行决赛。冠军获得者将获得大赛组委会颁发的奖杯、为期一周的海明威之路双人游(包括门票、住宿、早餐)以及1500欧元现金。第二名和第三名也将获得奖杯和海明威之路双人游。

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION

The Government of Navarre’s Office of Culture and Tourism, Principe de Viana Institution, announces the 1stInternational Ernest Hemingway Doubles and Impersonators Contest, to take place in July 2009 marking the 50thanniversary of the last visit of the writer and Nobel Prize winner to the Festival of San Fermín in Pamplona. The contest organizers, as well as offering cash prizes, will pay travel and accommodation expenses in Pamplona for contestants pre-selected and invited to the in-person stage.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1-Participation in the 1stInternational E. Hemingway Impersonators Contest is open to people from any country in the world who bear a physical resemblance to the writer at any stage of his public life,

3-In addition to the duly completed electronic form, entrants must include two recent photographs (one half-body and another full-body), preferably in color, or a video with a minimum duration of 25 seconds IN MPG OR AVI FORMAT.

4-The form. and images must be submitted to the e-mail addresshemingwaycontest@artsaia.com before noon(Spanish time) on Monday, June 15, 2009.

5-Candidates can only consider themselves entered in the competition when a response from the organizers is received, indicating that their entry has been accepted.

6-Participation in the contest includes acceptance of these conditions of entry.

CONTEST SCHEDULE

IN-PERSON STAGE

1-Once all entries have been received, the contest jury will meet and select the contestant invited to the in-person stage, according to the material received and the information provided. This process will result in the selection of the participants who will be invited to the in-person stage of the1stInternational E. Hemingway Impersonators Contest.

2-These participants will be invited by the Government of Navarre to travel to Pamplona in order to take part in the in-person stage. The organizers will also pay their accommodation expenses and provide them with a daily expense allowance.

3-The participantsmust arrive in Pamplona by mid-afternoon on Thursday, July 2 at the latest, when they will meet the contest organizers. Travel will be arranged by agreement between the selected participants and the contest organizers.

4-On the morning of Friday, July 3, the participants will give a joint press conference in character as the writer. The gala to select the three finalists will be held on the afternoon of that same Friday.

5-During the qualifying event, the contestants, whose order of appearance will be determined by drawing lots, will be called to the stage one by one. They will have a few moments to move around and give a brief performance, in which they will demonstrate their gestures and movement, clearly displaying their costume and characterization, as well as any props they may have. After that, they will have a maximum of one minute to address the audience and jury, during which time they will talk about their character. This must include an explanation of the time or circumstances in the life of Hemingway to which their costume and props refer.

 

6-On the morning of Saturday, July 4, before the results from the preceding evening are known, the participants will take a “Hemingway Tour” of Pamplona, together with members of the organization.7-The jury will announce the names of the three finalists at the solidarity lunch to be held that Saturday afternoon.8-The final will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, July 5.  

 

At the final, the chosen contestants must:

 

a) show themselves to the audience on the stage as they did at the previous event.

 

b) address the audience and jury for a maximum of one minute. In this case, their speech must include references to Pamplona and Navarre in general and their connection to Hemingway.

 

c) have a brief discussion with the presenter, during which the contestants must encourage those present to enjoy the Festival of San Fermín, which begins the following day, praising its international nature.

9-The prizes are as follows:

First prize: diploma certifying that the contestant is the winner of the 1stInternational Hemingway Impersonators Contest; trophy; tourist package for two to follow the Hemingway Route through Navarre (includes travel and bed and breakfast accommodation for two people for one week); 1,500 euros in cash.

Second and third prizes:trophy and tourist package for two to follow the Hemingway Route through Navarre.

10-The winner, who agreed to remain in Pamplona until July 10 when entering the competition, as the public events paying tribute to the Nobel Prize winner are held on July 9, will participate in any homages, tributes or promotional activities determined by the contest organizers.

       西班牙一年一度的奔牛节的正式名称叫圣费尔明节,圣费尔明是潘普洛纳的保护神。奔牛节的起源与西班牙斗牛传统有直接关联。据说当初要将6头高大的公牛从城郊的牛棚赶进城里的斗牛场是件非常困难的事情。17世纪时,某些旁观者突发奇想,斗胆跑到公牛前,将牛激怒,诱使其冲入斗牛场。后来,这种习俗就演变成了奔牛节。 

       位于潘普洛纳市旧城区的奔牛之路其实是一条狭窄的石板街,全长800多米。奔牛时,上万名奔牛爱好者挤满了街道,6头重约500公斤的公牛从牛棚冲出后,在几分钟内以20多公里的时速在杂乱的人群中狂奔,时常人仰牛翻,险象丛生,最后以公牛被引进斗牛场为大功告成。据统计,从1924年到2002年,共有14人被牛顶死,200多人被牛顶伤。即使如此,来自世界各地的冒险爱好者每年76日至14日这几天还是云集潘普洛纳这个只有10几万人的小城,在为期9天的人与牛之间的危险游戏中尽情享受欢乐与刺激。
